The NFL Draft has officially wrapped up in Green Bay, and the start of the preseason is quickly approaching. This year’s draft was packed with talent and drama, making it one of the most exciting in recent memory. While the top teams may not have had high picks, those late first-round selections can be crucial additions, often providing the final pieces needed for a Super Bowl push. It’s always fun to see how these contenders are shaping up heading into the new season.

5. Detroit Lions
The Lions’ 2024 season was plagued by injuries, most notably to star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who suffered a significant leg injury. Hutchinson is expected to return in 2025 and reclaim his role as the cornerstone of the defense. Detroit also added National Champion defensive tackle Tyleik Williams from Ohio State, a powerful run-stopper who should boost the Lions’ defensive front.
4. Buffalo Bills
Led by MVP quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills are hoping 2025 is finally the year they break through. Buffalo focused heavily on defense in the draft to build a more balanced team around their franchise QB. While the running back position remains a concern, Allen’s presence ensures the offense will continue to be one of the league’s most dangerous.

3. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens once again came up short in the playoffs but are hoping to bounce back after a strong draft class. Baltimore selected 11 players, including standout safety Malaki Starks from Georgia, who could contribute right away. With Zay Flowers returning for the 2025 season, the Ravens are gearing up to be one of the most complete teams in the NFL.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs' dynasty looks to rebound after a disappointing Super Bowl loss. Kansas City has now appeared in three straight Super Bowls, winning two of them. As long as Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are in town, the Chiefs will remain near the top of any power rankings.

1. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are still fresh off a Super Bowl victory. While they did lose some key pieces this offseason, they remain a top contender with Jalen Hurts under center and Saquon Barkley in the backfield. Linebacker Jihaad Campbell also looks poised to make an immediate impact in Philadelphia.
