Sports have always been a huge part of my life. While I was never the most talented athlete, my passion for the game never wavered. Instead, I found myself drawn to the management and business side of sports, how teams are built, how organizations operate, and how sports can bring people together uniquely and powerfully.
What excites me most about a career in sports is the ability to be part of something bigger than just the games themselves. Sports have the power to unify communities, create lifelong memories, and inspire people from all walks of life. Whether it's through team operations, marketing, analytics, journalism, or management, I want to contribute to the industry that has given so much to me and millions of fans worldwide.
With my background in marketing, management, and journalism, I aim to build a career where I can make a meaningful impact, whether that’s working for a professional team, a collegiate program, or a sports media network. My goal is to combine my skills and passion to help grow the industry and continue fostering the connections that make sports so special.
Engaging in hockey simulation leagues has profoundly shaped my interest in sports management. Starting at age 12, I immersed myself in these virtual platforms, eventually running my own league. In my most comprehensive experience, I participated in a league with 30 active General Managers, facilitating trades, contract negotiations, scouting, drafting, and managing team lineups. This league, initiated in the 2006-07 season, has impressively progressed beyond 2080, utilizing a system where players are regenerated or modeled after former players, enhancing the realism of scouting and drafting processes. These experiences have solidified my aspiration to pursue a career in the sports industry.
I consider myself a double-edged sword when it comes to hobbies and interests. I thrive on variety and love immersing myself in new experiences. From performing in theatre, chorus, and band to my passion for baseball and hockey, I always seek ways to stay engaged. I have a deep appreciation for graphic design and social media, which allows me to blend creativity with technology. In my free time, I enjoy video games, reading, and cooking, as well as umpiring and participating in sports sim leagues, where I can combine my love for sports and analytics. Music is a constant in my life, whether I’m performing or just appreciating great songs across different genres. No matter the interest, I love being involved, learning, and finding new ways to grow.
Growing up in DuBois, Pennsylvania, I attended DuBois Area Senior High School, where I immersed myself in various extracurricular activities. As President of the Drama Club and an Honor Level Thespian in the International Thespian Society, I developed leadership and a passion for the arts. In music, I participated in chorus and band, earning the Director's Award in my senior year and serving as Commanding Officer in the Marching Band: a role created to recognize my leadership and on-field drill management skills. Athletically, I played baseball and actively contributed to the local Little League as an umpire, fostering a strong sense of community involvement.
